1. How does your work in operations or finance help advance An-Nisa’s mission and impact in the community?
Erum Kamran, Financial and Operations Coordinator: My role in Finance/Operations is to help our organization operate efficiently and responsibility, ensuring financial transparency and overseeing and fulfilling daily needs of all departments. Allows us to allocate funds directly to our programs and services that support the underserved community.
2. What’s something most people don’t realize about the behind-the-scenes work that enables programs to run smoothly and effectively?
Erum Kamran: It's hard work! It’s never one person, it is a whole team of sincere, dedicated people who run the departments successfully. Budgeting, client intakes, managing internal needs, coordinating logistics and most of all ensuring every single dollar is used wisely.
3. How do you ensure that resources—whether financial, physical, or technological—are used in the most impactful and responsible way?
Erum Kamran: By carefully planning and closely monitoring to make sure every resource-financial,physical or technological are aligned with our organization mission and integrity.

Erum Kamran: Thank you for the kind words. Let me say this first ,I am so grateful to Allah swt who brought me to Annisa and to Bibi khan for giving me the opertunity to be a part of this remarkable organization and its noble cause. I feel so blessed to be given an opportunity to serve our community.
The way we know that our programs are making an impact is by staying connected to our clients and the people of our communities we serve. Reviewing programs reports , feedback , and success stories from our clients, is how we see our work and every single dollar is making a difference.
